A fully enclosed cave shaped like a caterpillar — because some pets sleep better when they are completely surrounded by something soft.
The PawWorm™ is a caterpillar-shaped tunnel cave — a fully enclosed den that surrounds your cat or small dog on all sides, with a round entrance hole at the front and a closed tail end at the back. The ribbed, segmented body gives it the caterpillar shape and also gives it its structure, so it holds its form rather than collapsing under the pet. Available in teal green or warm orange, both with matching antenna detail on top.
Fully enclosed tunnel shape
Unlike half-open beds, the PawWorm™ encloses the pet completely — walls and roof on all sides, with only the round front entrance open. Cats that actively seek out dark, enclosed spaces (cardboard boxes, laundry baskets, drawers) tend to take to this shape quickly. The tunnel is long enough for an adult cat or small dog to curl up inside without touching the back wall.
Ribbed segmented body structure
The caterpillar segments are not just decorative — each rib is a padded panel that gives the bed its shape and stops it from sagging. The result is a bed that sits upright on its own and maintains its tunnel form even with a pet inside. The curled tail at the rear is stuffed and adds to the overall structure.
Plush interior lining
The inside of the tunnel is lined with soft plush that is warm enough for cooler months without becoming stuffy in summer. The floor of the tunnel has additional padding underfoot. The overall feel is a snug burrow rather than a stiff container.
Works for cats and small dogs
At 50×40×30cm, the bed fits most adult cats comfortably and small dog breeds including Pomeranians, Bichon Frise, Chihuahuas and similar pets up to approximately 8kg. The round entrance is generous enough for breeds with wider heads to enter easily. It is not suitable for medium or large dogs.

Honest notes
Fully enclosed — not for every cat: This bed has only one opening. Cats that like to see the room, or that prefer a half-open bed, may not take to it. It works best for cats and dogs that actively seek out enclosed spaces — boxes, wardrobes, under the duvet.
Size: At 50cm long, the bed fits most adult cats and small dogs up to approximately 8kg. The round entrance is generous but a very broad-chested dog may find it snug. Check the entrance diameter against your pet's shoulder width if in doubt.
Cleaning: We recommend spot cleaning or hand washing rather than putting the whole bed in a machine, as the structured segments can lose shape with machine washing. Follow the care label on your specific item.
New bed settling-in: Because the interior is fully enclosed, some pets take a little longer to accept this type of bed. Placing a worn item of your clothing inside the tunnel for the first few days can help considerably.
Questions & answers
Will my cat actually use a fully enclosed bed?
Cats that seek out enclosed spaces — boxes, bags, cupboards, the space under the bed — tend to take to this type very quickly. Cats that prefer to keep an eye on the room while resting may prefer a half-open design. If you are unsure which category your cat falls into, observe where they already choose to sleep: enclosed spots are a strong signal.
What dog breeds does this suit?
The bed suits small breeds up to approximately 8kg — Pomeranians, Chihuahuas, Bichon Frise, Toy Poodles, Shih Tzu and similar. The round entrance is generously sized for these breeds. It is not suitable for medium or large dogs. If your dog is at the upper end of the weight range, measure their shoulder width against the entrance diameter before ordering.
Does the bed keep its shape?
Yes — the ribbed segment construction is what gives it structure. Each panel is padded and the body holds its tunnel shape under normal use. The curled tail end is also stuffed, which helps the rear keep its form. Avoid machine washing the whole bed as this can affect the padding in the segments over time.
My pet is ignoring it — what should I try?
Put a worn item of your clothing inside the tunnel — familiar scent is the most reliable way to help a pet accept a new enclosed bed. Place the bed somewhere your pet already rests rather than a new spot. For cats, a small treat just inside the entrance can help them investigate. Give it at least a week before drawing conclusions.
