Many folks call in and ask us why they cannot install a map pocket on the passenger side of their Vanagon. While the extra storage space would be great, there is one little hitch in the plan. With the passenger door shut, the glove box can only be opened a couple of inches before it will hit the map pocket. So, if you really want to have that second map pocket, be ready to pop the passenger door open to access the contents of your glove box.
