The softest fur in the world comes from chinchillas, which have fur that is 30 times softer than human hair. Other notably soft furs include those from mink and angora rabbits. So after much consideration, I ordered the FAUX CHINCHILLA fur throw and absolutely love love love it. I actually purchased it as a house warming present for a friend, but somehow ended up receiving two and I kid you not it is the best mistake I ever made next to matrimony. My honest opinion is to ignore all the nonsense gobbledygook reviews and focus on the winners like the one written by Macy. Yes it's heavy and I'll probably have it professionally cleaned when the time comes, but folks I kid you not it is the softest, prettist and most impressive throw I've experienced to date.
