Tasting Notes for Giffard Triple Sec

Fresh and candied orange, with bitter lemon on the nose. On the palate there is clean and well-balanced with orange zest and mandarin, finished with orange zest and wisp of pink grapefruit.

• Classic Margarita
• 2.0 oz Blanco Tequila
• .75 oz Giffard Triple Sec
• .75 oz Lime Juice
• 1 teaspoon Agave Nectar
• Method: Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker. Add ice and shake until chilled.Strain over ice into a prepared rocks glass rimmed with salt. Garnish with a lime wedge. 
• Sidecar
• 2.0 oz. Cognac
• .75 oz Giffard Triple Sec
• .75 oz Fresh-Squeezed Lemon Juice
• Method: Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake vigorously and double strain into a sugar-rimmed coupe glass.
• Cosmopolitan
• 1.5 oz.Citrus Vodka
• .75 oz.Giffard Triple Sec
• .5 oz.Fresh-Squeezed Lime Juice
• .5 oz.Cranberry Juice
• Method: Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake vigorously and double strain into a coupe glass. Garnish with a lemon twist.

Production Notes

To craft this classic liqueur, Giffard uses neutral spirit and sugar, both obtained from sugar beets, in combination with orange distillate and a small amount of lemon essence, to achieve the perfect blend of citrus notes.
