Released at a moment when the electric guitar had already taken root in popular music, the original 1964 Telecaster reflected Fender's continual evolution of the model without sacrificing its identity. The Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition '64 Telecaster honors that pivotal era with updated construction, top-shelf components, and Custom Shop craftsmanship that refines the blueprint while keeping its vintage soul intact.

The alder body, sorted specifically for its lighter weight, retains the clarity and midrange punch that helped define early Telecaster tone. Paired with a comfortable '60-style oval "C" maple neck, the guitar offers familiar feel with modern stability. A dark AAA rosewood is spec'd with a modern 9.5" radius and 21 narrow tall 6105 frets.

Electronics are what elevate this Tele into Custom Shop territory. Hand-wound Loaded '51 Nocaster pickups are carefully matched to bring out the full tonal character of the instrument. The bridge pickup delivers articulate twang with authority, while the neck pickup is nuanced and rich, ideal for rhythm and lead alike. A 3-way selector and traditional master volume/tone layout give players full access to the tonal range without clutter.

A Tele 58–63 bridge provides vintage-correct performance with modern precision, anchoring the guitar in classic style. Vintage tuning machines and a bone nut further stabilize tuning while preserving authentic feel and response.

Finished in Aged Lake Placid Blue and housed in a Custom Shop blonde case, this Limited Edition '64 Telecaster blends decades of Fender design insight into a single instrumentβ€”equal parts vintage homage and modern tool.

A Comprehensive Pocket Guide to Christian Living
Format: Paperback
Looking for a book on discipleship? Not sure what discipleship is, or how it relates to Christian living? Want to learn more about how God grows us and wants us to grow? May I recommend Mapping Discipleship, a 2025 release from Faith Publications by Charlie Carter, co-host of The Thinklings Podcast (my favorite podcast). I pre-ordered my copy and read it shortly after its (early πŸ‘) arrival. I ended up using it as my devotions, taking extra time to read the suggested passages and think through the reflection questions. Some pros of this book are -its small, short size: the chapters themselves are short, making the book more of a "pocket guide" than an intimidating, extensive treatise. -its catechism style: each chapter's title is a question that the chapter itself answers with Scripture, personal examples, illustrations and analogies, and practical application. Each chapter builds on the next, so start at the beginning. -its organization: the division of chapters into 3 parts (recognition, renewal, and results -- not exact) makes for a logical progression easy to follow and to implement. -its depth: though small, Mapping Discipleship packs a big punch in the way it lays out and digs into foundational truths of Christian living and how we grow. Deep thoughts and rich language. Chew slowly. Mapping Discipleship's only con (for me) is also its pro: its length. A few places I would have loved more fleshed-out discussion and maybe some additional resources. I'd love to share some of the quotes that impacted me, but I already lent my copy out to a friend. πŸ˜… Just get your own copy -- you will be challenged and blessed!

A Genuinely Good Guy & A Genuinely Fun Read
Format: Hardcover
A prison diary with optimism, realism and humor. You can read this book in its daily snippets, but you won't want to put it down as the daily drama unfolds. Each story leads up to the next in a riveting account of gritty survival. Peter is a man I genuinely would like to meet some day. Every once in awhile we get blessed with a public servant who has a heart of gold. Someone who doesn't just look after their own selfish interests, but cares about the affairs of others. Peter proves to be that man. Injected into a jail system with malice as a political prisoner, we find Peter busy helping others. When life gave him lemons, Peter chose to make lemonade for others. He discovered everything that seemed hopelessly mucked up in the prison system. So Peter, the ever-observant statistician, dug deep into the root causes of the massive dysfunction. He then began detangling each individual man's predicament with precision. And love. He genuinely cared about the prisoners and their families, their lives and their future. And when he left, he continued to work to change things for the better. That is honorable and commendable.
